An exciting Product Support Engineer job opportunity has become available at a global tech company.
About the Product Support Engineer function:
You will be reporting to the Product Support Manager and working closely with all technology teams across the organisation.
» Provide knowledge skills and in-house technical training to improve team proficiency
» Collaborate with customers and internal cross-functional teams to identify, diagnose, resolve, and report on technical issues
» Ensure new product release readiness by defining requirements, identifying automation tools and troubleshooting tasks during development cycle
» Gather and prioritise customer feedback, turning ideas into engineering enhancements and advocating customer self service improvements and capabilities
To be prosperous in this function, you will need to have advanced networking knowledge in internet environment (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS) and practice working on complex technical issues.
» Diploma/Degree in computer science, engineering, management information systems, or equivalent, with at least six years of significant work practice
» Understands how the internet works (IP, DNS and routing, HTTP, TCP, or web architecture)
» Knowledge of cloud infrastructures and VMs
» Exposure to DevOps related technologies and tools is desirable
» Fundamental knowledge of Linux/Unix systems alongside scripting languages such as Java
» Demonstrated practice in a technical customer facing function and a desire to deliver consulting services
