Communicable Diseases 
 
The Department aims to prevent the transmission of infectious diseases, including HIV/AIDS, in Singapore and change high-risk behaviours via the implementation and monitoring of evidence-located preventive initiatives and programmes that will increase the consciousness of, and change attitudes and behaviours towards infectious diseases, including HIV/AIDS, among the general population and at-risk target groups.
 
prosperous Candidate will report to Director of Preventive Health Programme Division. 
 
Key Job responsibilities:  
 
You will lead the department in the design and development of avoidance programmes related to communicable diseases to be delivered across different settings. 
 
You will be involved in the following key areas: 

- supervise the conceptualisation, development, implementation and evaluation of Programmes & Campaigns
   » Coordinate the development of the Adult Immunisation Registry
   » Develop outreach programmes targeting at- risk groups to promote protective behaviours
   » Develop programmes to promote consciousness and adoption of preventive measures for general population
   » Develop Programmes to promote adoption of socially-responsible behaviours for general population in the areas of social hygiene and avoidance of antibiotic resistance
   » Work closely with stakeholders and partners in the private, public and people sectors to plan and coordinate programmes for specific target populations 
- Lead the Division in the corporate planning such as the annual workplan and budget.
 
- supervise research projects and studies, where needed, in collaboration with researchers from various organisations e.g. Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health (SSHSPH).  
 
Job Requirements
 
   » Possesses significant qualifications in / practice working in Public Health, Health Promotion / Communications, Programme Development, Monitoring & Evaluation, or other related fields of study
   » Possesses at least 10 years of working practice in the middle-senior management level
   » Strong in analytical and stakeholders management expertise, managing projects related to conceptualising and planning programmes
   » Proven track records in developing and managing projects and campaigns at a national level
   » Strong interpersonal expertise with proven track records in being effective leader
