About the Storage Engineer function: You will play a crucial function in managing and maintaining storage infrastructure, and will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimising storage solutions to ensure the availcapability, relicapability, and performance of critical financial systems. The ideal candidate has a deep knowledge of storage technologies and best practices in a financial environment. Job responsibilities: » Design, implement, and maintain the organisation's storage infrastructure, including SAN, NAS, and other storage technologies » Monitor storage systems to ensure optimal performance, availcapability, and capacity planning » Develop and manage data backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and business continuity » Perform regular backups and test data recovery processes to verify their effectiveness » Identify opportunities for storage optimisation, including deduplication, compression, and tiering, to improve efficiency and reduce costs » Implement and enforce storage security policies and ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal security standards » Participate in security audits and risk assessments related to storage systems » Investigate and resolve storage-related issues and incidents in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations » Maintain accurate documentation of storage configurations, procedures, and incident reports » Generate regular reports on storage system performance and capacity utilisation To succeed in this Storage Engineer function, you will require at least five years of practice as a Storage Engineer.
