About the Data Security Architect function: This person will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive security architecture framework to safeguard sensitive data across the organisation. Key Job responsibilities: » Develop and maintain a deep knowledge of the organisation's data security, protection, secrets management, and encryption needs » Design and implement a comprehensive security architecture framework and reference architectures for data protection, secrets management, and cryptography » Continuously develop and mature the program and roadmaps in line with industry best practice and the evolving threat landscape » Develop and maintain security policies and standards for data protection, secrets management, and cryptography » Provide guidance and technical leadership abilities to project teams to ensure data security requirements are properly integrated into software development and infrastructure projects » Partner with cross-functional teams including the Global Data Management Group to identify and address data security risks across the organisation » Define key management solutions and patterns to protect sensitive data and secrets » Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in data protection, secrets management, and cryptography To be prosperous in this function, you will need to have a strong knowledge of established information security frameworks and practice in data security architecture, particularly in data protection, secrets management, and encryption. Key Requirements: » Degree in computer science, cybersecurity, management information systems, or equivalent, with at least 10 years' significant work practice within the broader Information technology security disciplines and technologies » At least five years' practice in data security architecture, focusing on data protection, secrets management, and encryption » practice with cloud security, especially related to data protection and secrets management » Strong knowledge of encryption standards such as AES, RSA, PKI » Familiarity with secrets management tools like HashiCorp Vault , Conjur or AWS Secrets Manager » Knowledge of established information security frameworks (NIST, ISO2700, CSA, SCF) » Cybersecurity-related qualifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC » Excellent interpersonal expertise with the capability to build and influence This organisation needs no introduction and is recognised as a key leader within the Financial Services Group.
