About the Infrastructure Operations and Support Specialist function: This Infrastructure Operations and Support Specialist function involves Assume the responsibility systems administration, proactive monitoring, infrastructure support, and managing escalations within the company. Key Job responsibilities: Infrastructure Operations » Conduct systems administration for Windows, Unix and Linux servers » Implement change and release management processes » Proactively monitor systems and network for optimal performance » Set up and replace hardware components/servers as required » Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance activities » Administer enterprise tape backup for data protection » Regularly conduct restoration testing of backup tapes » Supervise computer operators or vendors for designated tasks Infrastructure Support » Provide 1 to 1.5 level responses to address system issues » Execute recovery and contingency procedures to resolve problems » Perform application and middleware administration » Support application developers in their system requirements » Coordinate and manage escalations to ensure timely resolution To succeed in this Infrastructure Operations and Support Specialist function, you must have practice in systems administration for Windows, Unix and Linux servers and be able to provide infrastructure support and effectively manage escalations.
