An exciting HR Trainee (one-year contract) job has just become available at a respected global banking institution located in Singapore. this function requires you to contribute to the overall success of the Human Resource (HR) team in Singapore and ensure specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed/delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives.
About the HR Trainee (one-year contract) function:
In this business critical function, you will be part of the HR Shared Services team and work closely with the HR department and key support functions.
KeyResponsibilities
   »
HR Operations and Payroll Support
   »
Pre-employment checks and onboarding
   » Support HR Ops team in ensuring pre-employment background checks are completed in line with the bank's regulatory standards
   » Support HR Ops team in ensuring onboarding process is completed promptly. Detailed checking and follow up on new hire's documents and escalate concerns to HR Ops team
   » Work closely with new hires, HR ops team and payroll team on creation or updating of new hire's profiles in HR systems
   » HR Administration and Record Keeping
   » Assist in audit requirements to ensure that all required employee documentation is collected, maintained and any discrepancies/alerts are followed up
   » Draft promotion, income increment and any other letters
   » Process invoices received; assign cost centre, send to HR manager for approval and send to the Payment team
   » Respond to queries from employees on HR related matters in case management system
   » Collate and summarise employee movement (new hire/transferee, promotees, resignees, etc.) on a monthly basis
   » Offboarding
   » Assist HR Ops team on preparing of offboarding letters
   » contact with Information technology team on Information technology properties to be returned by leavers
   » contact with leaver on the items to be returned and documents to be completed (if applicable)
   » contact with leaver's line manager to complete the exit interview questionnaire (manager's section)
   » Send out staff last day email to the respective parties involved, e.g. Admin, IT, SG Compliance, etc.
   » HR reporting and Ad Hoc Projects
   » Assist in monthly reports: Monthly Headcount Report
   » Participate in any HR projects assigned
   » Payroll support
   » Assist payroll team on all payroll related issues and payments
   » Support Centre of Excellence (COE) team if required
To succeed in this HR Trainee (one-year contract) function, you will need to be willing to learn.
Key Requirements:
   » Preferred: University degree from a recognised institution
   » Professional human resources designation or equivalent work practice
   » Fresh graduate or with at least 1 year of Human Resources significant work practices in HR shared services, preferably in the banking industry
   » Fast learner and keen eye for detail
   » knowledge of HR labour laws, policies and practices will be advantages
   » Good interpersonal expertise and must possess well-developed written and oral communication expertise
   » to effectively deal with employees' queries
   » Demonstrates flexibility and good organisational expertise to effectively deal with multiple demands and changing priorities
