About the Finance Manager function: Reporting to the Regional Financial Controller, the Finance Manager will be responsible for accounting, financial reporting, financial audit and tax for the company. Key Job responsibilities: » Directs all aspects of accounting operations, including general ledger, receivables, payables, payroll and financial reporting, ensuring that records are maintained in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles and the company's accounting policies » Coordinates, prepares, and reviews monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, and project leads/manages the external audit of all entities including liaising with external audit firms » Analyses each entity's financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs and compliance with budget » Provides strategic guidance around capital financing options to support company growth needs » Coordinates and/or prepares tax schedules, returns and information » Manages cash flow » Manages all tax planning and compliance with all required payroll, and other applicable taxes » Process improvement: Develops improved and consistent reporting and close processes » Efficiency improvement: Develops improved shared services and AP/AR processes to shorten reporting cycle and improve cost efficiency » Acts as Project Manager to drive the company's group financial audit work, liaising with the external audit firms at both group and component level, and coordinating with internal accounting team for each business unit/market and other functions To succeed in this Finance Manager function, you must have strong audit background and be comfortable with working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment. Key Requirements: » Fluent in English is essential, with a high level of communication abilities » Professional qualifications and practice is needed » Chartered Accountant (ICA or ACCA) » Approximately six to seven years of professional practice, including the financial audit related practice in leading accounting firms » Business or finance degree (bachelor's or master's) » At least two to three years' managerial practice leading an accounting or audit project team (10 or more heads) is essential » practice working with or managing multinational/multicultural teams is essential » Franchise and retail practice is recommended » practice working with start-up businesses is recommended » Needs to have high level attention to detail and be organised » Self-starter, responsible, able to work independently and drive changes to the current processes » Comfortable with working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment » Needs to be an effective and mature leader who can develop teams to improve performance The company is a leading fitness retailer company with exciting growth and expansion plans.
