About the L2 Network Security Engineer function:
In this function, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the network infrastructure to ensure seamless communication and data transmission across the organization. Your skills will play a vital function in maintaining network security and stcapability, enabling uninterrupted financial services to end clients.

Job responsibilities:
   » Network Design and Implementation:
   » Design, implement, and maintain the organization's network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers, to ensure efficient and secure data transmission
   » Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and design network solutions that align with organizational goals and industry best practices
   » Configure and optimize network devices to achieve high availcapability, redundancy, and scalcapability
   » Network Troubleshooting and Support:
   » Provide level 2 support for network-related incidents and service requests, promptly resolving issues to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted business operations
   » Perform network diagnostics and troubleshooting to identify and resolve complex network problems, including issues related to hardware, software, and connectivity
   » Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors and service providers, to resolve network-related issues in a timely and efficient manner
   » Network Security and Compliance:
   » Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems, to safeguard confidential financial data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
   » Stay updated with the latest network security trends and technologies, recommending and implementing enhancements to mitigate emerging threats
   » Network Performance Optimization:
   » Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and congestion issues
   » Conduct periodic network performance analysis to identify opportunities for optimization and capacity planning
   » Collaborate with the Information technology team to implement network performance improvement initiatives and ensure seamless network operations
   » Documentation and Reporting:
   » Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation, including network diagrams, inventory, IP covering, and configurations
   » Generate reports on network performance, incidents, and service-level agreements, providing insights and recommendations for improvement
   » Contribute to the development and enhancement of network-related policies, procedures, and standards
To succeed in this function, you will require at least 4 years of practice as a Network Engineer or in a related function.
Appropriate qualifications:
   » Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
   » significant certifications such as CCNA or CCNP will be advantageous
   » Proven practice as an L2 Network Engineer in the financial sector or a similar industry
   » Strong knowledge of networking concepts, protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, BGP, OSPF), and technologies (LAN, WAN, MPLS)
   » Hands-on practice with network hardware, including Cisco switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers
   » Proficiency in network monitoring and management tools such as Wireshark, HPNNM/Solarwinds/Grafana
   » Familiarity with network security technologies, including firewall rules, VPNs, and access control lists
   » Solid knowledge of network capacity planning principles and change management processes
   » Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
   » Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the capability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
