about the company

With a strong focus on technology and innovation, our client invests heavily in R&D and are looking for a Service Desk Agent to join their current team.

This is an urgent function, candidates on short notice period will be preferred.

about the job
As a Service Desk Agent, you will be required to support local and regional users:
   » Perform the day-to-day activities of Service desk
   » Handling the voice calls and emails
   » Incidents, requests, events and enquiries are received, recorded, categorized and prioritized accurately in a timely manner
   » Requests are fulfilled at first call or dispatched timely to appropriate fulfilment parties
   » Use Remote Desktop tool to assist the end users as required
   » Monitor the tickets queue, Assigning/Reassigning and follow up of tickets as per SOPs
   » To diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents, including windows operating systems and across a range of software applications
   » To install and configure new Information technology software

Job location: Central Business District.

expertise and practice required
To succeed in this position, you will need:
   » Min 2 years of practice in Technical Helpdesk support
   » Flexibility to work weekends (occasionally)
   » practice on Outlook/Lotus Notes/any other email client is desirable
   » practice in troubleshooting of Desktop, Laptop, Printer, Internet Browser, Network connectivity, MS-Office, VPN client etc. MDM client troubleshooting/set-up would be an added advantage
   » Good communicator and one who has worked on ticketing systems
