We are seeking for data scientists to discover the information hidden in vast amount of data to support evidence-located policy formulation for the stcapability and vicapability of the built environment sector. You must be practiced in using data science tools, building and implementing models, using/creating algorithms and creating/running simulations. You must have a proven capability to drive organizational results with their data-located insights, and comfortable working with a wide variety of stakeholders and functional teams.
Job responsibilities:
   » Work closely with line departments or stakeholders to understand their needs/pain points, scope the problems and develop use cases on how to turn data into critical information and expertise that can be used for policy making, streamlining operations or developing solutions for the different departments
   » Design dashboards and interactive visualizations as tools for data exploration as well as for storytelling
   » Present analytics insights and results in a clear manner
   » Advise line departments on the key ICT trends and best practices in data analytics, assess appliccapability for adoption and recommend solution that best fits line departments' needs
Requirements:
   » A tertiary qualification in data science, computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, business analytics, engineering, or related disciplines
   » practice in using statistical computer languages (Python, R, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets
   » practice in using data visualization tools (Tableau/Qlik Sense)
   » expertise of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks
   » expertise of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and practice with applications
   » Excellent communications expertise and the capability to explain quantitative analysis and results simply and logically
