Being a Senior Engineer/ Engineer (Private Waste Facilities Section) under the Waste & Resource Management Department, you will play an active function in the planning, development and management of solid waste management facilities, including Sarimbun Recycling Park and the Metal Recovery Facility, that will be part of Singapore's integrated waste management system. The work scope and responsibilities include the following: » Manage the process to obtain project and funding support » Plan and implement project schedules » Administer the procurement process to select and appoint project consultants and contractors, including preparation of tender documents » Manage consultants in carrying out practiccapability studies » Supervise consultants/contractors to ensure that the waste management facilities are developed in a timely and cost-effective manner, in compliance with tender requirements » Manage funding and budget planning cycles for projects » Administer and manage tenancy agreements Requirements: » Degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical or Environmental Engineering is preferred. candidates with degree in other engineering fields with work practice in a related field may also be considered. » Strong project and stakeholder management expertise » expertise in implementation of infrastructure development projects would be advantageous » 1 - 2 years of practice in solid waste management is preferred » Passion for environmental protection and adept at working with corporate and public stakeholders » Adaptable to diverse work scopes » Mature, independent, resourceful and highly self-motivated » Patient, resilient and able to work under tight timelines » Outgoing and pleasant personality » Good interpersonal expertise » Strong analytical and problem solving expertise » Must be computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office
