The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) was established on 2 February 1996, with the mission to develop Singapore as a premier global hub port and international maritime centre (IMC), and to advance and safeguard Singapore's strategic maritime interests.
MPA is the driving force behind Singapore's port and maritime development, taking on the functions of Port Authority, Port Regulator, Port Planner, IMC Champion, and National Maritime Representative.
MPA partners the industry and other agencies to enhance safety, security and environmental protection in our port waters, facilitate port operations and growth, expand the cluster of maritime ancillary services, and promote maritime R&D and manpower development.
You will be part of a team which supervises and runs the facilities management operations of assigned MPA properties and execute effective facilities management strategies to improve operations. Your function will focus on the lease management.Your key responsibilities include the following: » Conduct property valuation on MPA-owned properties and explore the optimal use of MPA-owned properties to increase revenue for MPA. » Handle all administrative matters pertaining to renewal and changes to leases/liceses, application for new leases/licenses and Temporary Occupancy Licenses. » contact with lessor, lessees, the significant MPA divisions and various government agencies (i.e. URA, SLA etc) to conduct cost-benefit analysis to optimise the usage for MPA to reap greater cost efficiency. » Perform operational tasks such as soliciting tenants' feedback, reviewing leasing contracts, tenancy renewals and conducting site inspections for our properties and ensure that all rectification works by our lessees or tenants are completed in conformity to the requirements set by MPA and other government agencies. » Work with MPA Legal team to resolve and arbitrate any disputes/issues related to MPA properties » Manage the planning and utilisation of budget for the Space Management Department to ensure that MPA facilities are maintained in a cost effective manner.You should possess at least 6-8 years of practice in Real Estate/ Lease Management. You should possess broad knowledge of real estate trends. Candidates with basic knowledge of Contract Law would have an added advantage. You should also be a good team player with good interpersonal and communication expertise to engage internal and external stakeholders.
