tasks & Responsibilities

The incumbent will be responsible for the planning, and organising of activities and programmes to engage and connect with alumni through collaborations with stakeholders to achieve the desired results and results; so as to meet the division’s objectives in supporting NUS’ and OAR’s missions.

Alumni Groups (AGs) and Overseas Chapters (OCs)
• Encourage NUS alumni to form AGs and OCs and facilitate the process, implement initiatives to connect members of the AGs and OCs to NUS and to achieve significant results.
• Manage matters relating to Alumni Groups (AG), its database and activities.

Alumni Engagement
• Assist to conceptualise, plan, organise and implement customised programmes and activities to engage alumni.
• Responsible for keeping maintaining up-to-date records of alumni engagement programmes, events and participants’ attendance and data.
• Actively engage different cohorts of alumni through alumni activities and programmes organised by the office or its collaborating partners.
• Reach out to alumni through various channels of communications by conceptualising, creating and developing effective marketing and publicity collaterals.
• Conduct post-mortems, post-event surveys, analyse results and make recommendations for event improvements.
• Compere or host stage events.
Student Cultivation and Engagement
• Assist to conceptualise, plan and organise initiatives for student cultivation through collaborations with internal stakeholders such as the Faculties, Schools, Halls of Residences, Departments, NUS Student Unions and student clubs/societies.
• Administer existing student engagement programmes and expand on these to engage student groups.
• Promote and showcase student talent and activities at alumni events.

External Relations
• Coordinate and conduct tours and host external visitors e.g. visits from local and foreign universities, corporations and government ministries, etc.
• Responsible for organising site visits, preparing presentation slides, and corporate gifts.
• Keep proper records of such visits.

Other tasks
• Assist all other OAR sections as and when required.
• Assist in University events as and when necessary.
